030 Sold Antique Minton Staffordshire English Porcelain Vase Centerpiece Turquoise Gilt

 

Stunning Example of an English Minton Porcelain Centerpiece or Flower Vase, modelled as a central basket weave flared vase flanked by two cats supporting it with a ribbon standing on a gilt edged naturalistic oval base. Circa third quarter of the Nineteenth Century.  

Exquisitely decorated in colours of turquoise on white glazed ground with lavish gold highlights.  

Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses, no discoloring anywhere. Puce base mark MINTONS below a crown. Back and front views are similar. 

Height: (entire as image one) 5" (12.75cm). Width: (at base) 8.75” (22cm). Depth: (at base) 4” (10cm).
